Doesn’t Microsoft already back up Microsoft 365?
Microsoft keeps the service running, but its retention features are not a full backup. Deleted or overwritten data can be lost once retention periods pass, and malicious deletion or ransomware can affect it. An independent backup lets you recover individual items or whole mailboxes and sites.
Which Microsoft 365 plan does a small business need?
For most businesses under 300 users, Microsoft 365 Business Premium is a strong starting point because it includes device management, conditional access and advanced threat protection alongside the Office apps. The right choice depends on your risk and how your people work.
Is Microsoft 365 Copilot worth it?
For many roles, yes, but only once your data is ready. Copilot can save significant time on drafting, meeting notes and finding information, and it works with everything a user can access, so permissions and data protection need to be right first. Can we replace our office phone system with Teams?
Usually, yes. With Teams Phone and a Microsoft Calling Plan, Operator Connect or Direct Routing, staff make and receive external calls in Teams on laptops, mobiles or desk phones, and existing numbers can normally be moved across.
